Richard C Mullins, M.D.

Dr. Mullins was born in St. Louis, MO and lived there through High School. He received a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH in 1981. Dr. Mullins received his M.D. degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, graduating in 1985. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN from 1990 to 1995.

Dr. Mullins then completed the LSU Knee and Sports Medicine fellowship in Lake Charles, LA in 1991. Dr. Mullins joined Sierra Orthopaedics in August of 1991. Dr. Mullins is board certified in Orthopaedic surgery and member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine. He has an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the UNR School of Medicine.

Dr. Mullins practices general Orthopaedics with the exception of spinal injury, and has a special interest in injuries of the knee and shoulder. Dr. Mullins is married and the father of four children. His hobbies include golf and scuba diving and other activities.
